About Maya, Chief Imagination Officer

Maya portrait

Maya’s first experience with small businesses started at age 8, known as ‘The Little Helper’ putting on the grown-up’s apron that looked more like an extra, extra large dress when she’d help mix and roll dough at her Aunt’s family bakery and restaurant where her mom played piano during Saturday Luau nights. Then, in her teenage years, servicing customers and making deliveries at her dad’s downtown Dallas, TX dry cleaners learning the great lesson in business - “Service With A Smile” which means shooting for more than just quality service so customers are left with a glowing memory and great impression.

Since then, she has been a “Maya of all Trades” working in everything from data entry, administrative assistant, sales assistant, training coordinator and a traveling technical instructor for businesses big and small. For the past 9 years she has helped build, launch and manage over 100+ Websites and Internet Marketing Campaigns for small businesses with fewer than 5 employees with Guerrilla / Relationship Marketing tactics — What marketing can be done with focused time, creative energy, and rolling up your sleeves… plus, what are the more affordable routes, too! Cause small businesses don’t have big, fat marketing budgets!

Office Environement:
Now, living in San Diego, CA, she works from her laptop, in her home office, surrounded by Space Invaders wall decals by Blik and the music of her 80GB iPod playing anything from The Beach Boys to U2, Keane to The Beatles and she’s never been happier.

Personal:
When it’s time to put work aside and play, you’ll find Maya surfing, traveling or experiencing something exciting.
